correct me if i'm wrong, but i think he went to college there but didn't finish college in order to write software and stuff...

Bill Gates didn't go to graduate school @ Harvard, so if you're wondering among Harvard Business School, or Law School, or something like that...it was just Harvard College I believe.

didn't he get in b/c he could work extremely well with computers/software as a kid ?

on wikipedia it says he didn't graduate from harvard.

Last year, TIME had an article about Bill Gates (he was invited to Harvard to receive an honorary Doctor degree). According to that article (hopefully I did not remember the details wrong), Gates dropped out of Harvard near the end of his 4-year there and was not exactly voluntary. Apparently, he had a little brush with school regulations. He was doing something in the dorm (his company), which violated school laws. Also, around that time, one night, he went to a party somewhere in Boston, drove a borrowed car without carrying a valid license, and was caught by a police. He stayed in correction center for one night because he did not have enough money to bail himself out. Since then, he learned to carry enough cash just in case.
