grade: all in the 90's
sports: in 7th and 8th i played soccer. 9th grade, nothing.
extra: second violin
clubs: science club, Spanish club.
going to volunteer at local space observatory this summer.
intrests: stocks, cars, big words, problem solving
soon to be a member of NJHS
i have all honers classes
going to take ap euro next year, as well as java classes.

It may be difficult for you at this college. Most people who apply here are class rank 1 and have a 4.0. 90% will not make the cut. EC's are no where near what they should be to get a chance at admission. Sorry.

lol honestly, you'll be fine. stop worrying. Your only a freshman. Yes, its good to think ahead (i was the same way until junior year slapped me and said its time.),but don't stress. 1st off, you must make it through undergrad before law school. 2ndly, when your applying to colleges, they could care less about your middle school achievements. They will mainly be looking at your 3 er 3.5 years in high school. Harvard will understand your school situation,if its not the best or if they don't offer APs. When students apply to colleges, the college gets a packet from your school about the rigor of its program/classes/etc. They'll know where your coming from ,so don't worry. You definitely have a good start. And when the time comes for you to finally apply to colleges, like I am, you'll have a passion. This, along with all the wonderful things you did in high school, will be your ticket in. You'll want that to shine through, or so I've heard.
But don't stress about this now, really. You only have 4 years of high school, and then, its over. Let nature take its course while you spend the next 2.5 er 3 years absorbing and loving everything thrown at you. These years really can be the time of your life, they have been for me (granted, I had my ups and definitely downs but...), and I would hate for you to miss it because your soo focused on Harvard Law School. Which could change by the way...maybe not (I've known I wanted to go to law school since second grade and haven't changed my mind since.) But best of luck to u!

(The word is *honors,by the way. Sorry lol, it was really getting to me.)

I have to agree with the other two posts. Your EC's aren't great, and probably aren't Harvard material, but colleges don't even look at middle school achievments. You need to eventually step up on EC's and take leadership positions. Remember that SAT's are extremely important ( a note for when the time comes)

Um..apparently there are wiseacres who are prepared to tell a 13-yr old kid that he has already failed to make the cut for Harvard law school. Those people are idiots. Law school is not the empyrean and Harvard is not the most exalted of the heavenly spheres. Work hard, do well, be kind to others. Life is not about making the grade. If you graduate from Harvard Law and wind up doing time for tax evasion, your law degree will be many degrees below zero.

Do you want to go to Harvard or Harvard Law School? The two are very, very different things. HLS is almost entirely dependent on, first of all, GPA and LSAT scores (yes, sadly enough), and secondly on applications, though I most know this from my friends' discussions. My friend, who had a 3.8 or so from Harvard in a BA/MA 4-year program and did all sorts of amazing things, was rejected from HLS, whereas other friends who go there went to various colleges for undergrad. Don't worry about law school until you're in college, though it would be wise to go to a good college for obvious reasons.

I hope this makes sense. Basically, go to college first, and THEN worry about law school. Even people with 3.8 GPAs from Harvard don't necessarily get into Harvard Law, so there are no "guaranteed" paths, just doing as well as possible. Also, I'm impressed that you're starting to think about this now...!
