awards

I'm now on the verge of submitting my Harvard app, just waiting for a recommendation to come back. Anyway, I was wondering how and if I should list my Quiz Bowl and Mu Alpha Theta awards. I was thinking that on the common app, I would just say next to Quiz Bowl: numerous awards. Or should I list them individually on a separate resume.

mmm. I should start my applications ...

I'm not sure how important they are but unless they're national or regional level sort of thing you don't need to list the individual awards unless you need it to fill up space.

I was all set to send a resume, and then I realized that on the online common app, you can fit 6,000 characters, so I just put my "resume" there. I know they say to "briefly list" but this way I know they'll see my awards when they read my app, and sending them along with your transcript is not the best idea, secretaries must make mistakes when they sort thousands upon thousands of applications.

But you should do what you feel comfortable with, of course.

I think u should send a resume along with ur app. That makes it sound better. Or better still get ur counsellor 2 attach it with his/her report. I think a 5-6 side resume will hv more effect than a 6000 character comp screen resume ( no offence pianoking7).
