They are very low, but try to impress the AdCom and you could just make it! Good luck

PS Out of curiosity, are you applying to any British schools?

I've heard of all of them--and of course, Cambridge!! Who hasn't heard of it? I ask because I actually applied there (applied to Emmanuel--which college did you send to?). So it's funny, how we're sort of doing mirror roles with our college applications. Let me know how Cam goes in January

There are many ways to impress the AdCom. Just need to show your dedication, passion, etc...

yeah but havent i already shown them my dedication and passion with my application already? i dont want to send stuff thats pointless and will waste my time and their time... i already submitted tons. the only thing i suppose i could do is get another recommendation, although i've already sent them including one from a harvard alumnus.. what do u think? i hav a feeling i may have been deferred cos they want to compare me with other applicant from england, since very few apply early. or else i jus wasnt good enough for the early pool.

i applied to downing at cambridge for law. what subject have u applied for? did u have an interview? have u applied anywhere else in england?

Actually, the percentage admitted last year out of deferred was not any lower than the percentage admitted RD.

A lot of people on CC are saying the defer to admit rate will be higher than usual this year.

PhatAlbert: Actually, it was just around 3%, while the RD rate was 5%-ish. Anyway, it always varies year to year, but you can be assured that it'll usually be at the RD rate or below that.

I have heard of all of them. The additional information to send to Harvard for the RD round would be to notify them of any awards or other significant achievements. If you win any prizes or honors at your school or in your town, make sure Harvard finds out about it right away.

Even local awards? I didn't put local/school awards even on my application.

If you win an award for being say the top math or science student in your school, I'd include it.
