Congrats swimfreak. There was supposed to be an off chance for zlister to make the cut in July but looks like you made the cut now.

^actually I was never zlisted haha my AdCounselor misspoke when he said 2017 and he meant 2016. Although I was so excited to get the call I may have heard 2017 instead of 2016.

Congrats to all who have gotten in off the WL both for 2016 and 2017.

FWIW, my D is a Legacy. She applied RD and was WLed.

It seemed she might be a candidate for a Z-list spot; she decided that if offered a Z-list spot she would decline since she had several other excellent college acceptances for the fall.

As it turns out it did not matter; she was 'released' from the WL in the first round in mid-May. She was a solid candidate with excellent stats and ECs to match or exceed many of the admits I have read here on CC ; those who think Legacy is a 'done deal' should think again.

I'm currently on the waitlist and I wasn't zlisted when everyone else seemed to be but I also haven't heard anything about being released from the waitlist. Did they do all zlisting in one round or does this mean that there is still some chance for me?

I never verified my status, but I was rejected in the first round (Hispanic male). I don't understand admissions.

Our son was deferred after ED then WL. He was rejected from the WL on June 6th and then admitted to Dartmouth off of the WL on June 14th. What a wild ride! He is thrilled about his admission to Dartmouth. It will be a great fit for his undergrad years. He still loves Harvard and will enjoy visiting friends there. Best of luck to the remaining few! It DOES happen....even very late in the game.
