should I give up?

I am a rising sophomore right now, and last year I got 2 B's. One in Algebra and one in PE (how I got that, I have no idea). Should I still try to get into a Ivy? Or is all hope lost and I should just give up?

No.

You shouldn't even consider giving up.

If an Ivy is your dream, ignore what anyone else says and go for it. Just make sure you work extremely hard from now on, avoid those Bs at all costs.

However, if an Ivy is not your dream and not going to one wouldn't crush you, then giving up is up to you.

I know this is terribly cliché, but never give up hope. Shoot for an ivy, and even if you barely miss it, you'll still get into a very good school. If you don't try your hardest, you won't have ANY chance with an Ivy

Cheeeeer up! I loveee what these people above me said. People have this "thought" that Ivy League students are perfect. Sure, many of them are, but not all of them (: I know someone that got into Columbia and that person had gotten B's before. Prove that you are Ivy League material by following your dream and not giving up (:

Are you serious?

Two B's will not kill your app at any school. Especially if one's in PE.

Apply to whatever colleges you like. You can't get in if you don't apply.

The mention of "all hope lost" with regard to getting into an Ivy League college is somewhat troubling. It implies that, for whatever reason, the OP has his/her heart set on an Ivy League school. Not sure why. There are many very good universities out there.
