According to the Harvard Gazette, "This year the admissions selection meetings began on Feb. 1 and will conclude on March 21."

A docket is where all schools from one particular geographic area is considered together while recognizing the overall caliber of applicants. For example, New York City would be a docket, Long Island would be one, Asia would be another, Los Angeles, etc.

Dear Byerly and xjayz,

I would be more than glad if you could answer the following questions:

If the Admissions Committee receives a very important piece of information regarding an applicant, would they still consider it, even if the selections regarding a certain docket are over? Please assume that the information is very important.

Every year, there is always one decision that is the last one made, just before the letters are mailed or the e-mails dispatched, if you get my drift.
