Ok my friend that goes to harvard told me this and I dont knwo if hes lieing to me. IS there such a tradtition at harvard that like a week before finals people gather in the court yard and go streaking????

it was featured in the harvard crimson before. they do seem to do that.

i think it's called the primal scream or something to that effect.

Yes kiddies, it's true. The night before the first final (in both winter and spring) at midnight, Harvard's best and brightest and boldest strip down and go for a naked run around the world famous bastion of Ivy League sophistication and seriousness, Harvard Yard. It happens tonight, January 14th/15th, 2005 at midnight.

I'm a senior, I just participated in my 4th winter primal scream. There will be a picture on the front page of tomorrow's Crimson (www.thecrimson.com). Primal scream is simply fun, a way for Harvard students to unwind after a stressful reading period before finals. It's not mandatory, but it is rather lame if you don't do it. We had people on crutches being carried by their friends this year; it's just a fun activity.
