For some reason, I thought I read somewhere (on the internet) that Harvard's wait-list has 700 students (this year). That info could be completely erroneous, but I'm just throwing another number out there, and hoping it's right!
Fitzsimmons said that the admissions office might be relying more than usual on the waitlist—which numbers in the “many hundreds”—to fill up the Class of 2012.
Here's hoping that the waitlist is less than 1000.
Also, my mom called the admissions office and whoever she talked to said that they had a financial aid package for me, but that I shouldn't read anything into it. Do you guys think it really means nothing and they just do it for everyone on the waitlist?
