I seriously doubt it, but if your friend really did get off the waitlist, that would mean that the Harvard yield was much lower than predicted ...

No she didn't get an email confirming it, she got her Harvard email after they called (aka could join the Harvard network on facebook).. Although I suppose they could've sent a follow-up email.
starburst, most people on the facebook group have their emails by now, so I don't know what's going on with you.
I didn't even apply to Harvard so I'm just telling you guys. Later.

I guess that means they're taking people off the waitlist... which is good. Too bad I'm probably, like, THE LEAST qualified person haha

don't say that CNI, you haven't seen my son's SAT's. lol I just checked and at least his application status info still comes up when I try and access it. When that page on Harvard's website comes up "not found", I'll be saying "Houston we have a problem"

yeah.... thanks. But, I say that it is because the committee has just re-opened my file; and in consideration of my supplement letter to them, they will be giving me a call anytime soon now!

I don't think that because his status is still viewable that it means anything, but I'm hoping it means that they haven't totally written him off either.

My status is still active/open. I doubt it means anything, unless any fellow waitlistees are unable to access their page ... ?

So Princeton and Stanford reportedly have active waitlists. I guess that could either be good or bad news depending on the way you look at it
