Will information be sent home..

My son will not be able to attend freshman weekend at the end of the month. Will Harvard send info to him explaining how the meals work, how to register for classes etc.. Also, will they let me know how payment are to be made? Lot's and Lot's of questions.

Prefrosh weekend, in my opinion, is more about seeing the campus and people and general lifestyle--at least that's what I got out of it. Harvard sends you lots of stuff over the summer--they're great at getting you all of the information you need. Plus, you can always call--I know that my parents had financial aid questions, and the admissions office was always very helpful when they called.

Just to let you know...you don't choose a meal plan, everyone has the same one of three meals a day (all freshmen eat at the same dining hall, Annenberg). You register once you're on campus just to let the school know you're here, and then you register for classes after a period called shopping week--it's mostly online and really easy.

As a parent, I agree with the above post. You'll get everything in the mail, no need for concern. And believe me, they will let you know how to pay. (They make it easy to do so electronically if you wish.)
