I was wondering whether students attending Harvard are able to take classes at Boston College, well, actually that wouldn't work. Hah. You see, I really would like to go to Harvard, but the major that I want-Historic Preservation (under Architecture)-isn't offered, and IS offered at BC. So, would that work at all, attending Harvard, but majoring in hp at BC?
I've never heard of anyone here taking classes at BC. And I'm fairly certain that you can't attend one college but have your major at another, even if they do allow cross-registration for some classes. If the major that you want isn't even offered at Harvard, then what are your reasons for wanting to go?
Frankly if you are interested in architecture Harvard is less than ideal. Why not look at schools that offer a real architecture undergrad major like U VA or Columbia or Yale, or even a professional degree like Cornell or Carnegie Mellon?
(I'm a Harvard grad who got an M. Arch. at Columbia - as far as I can tell the undergraduate offerings via VES and the Art History Department are even slimmer now than they were then, though it does look like you can ask permission to take courses at the School of Design.)
