"more than 2,900 scored a perfect 800 on their SAT critical reading test; 3,500 scored 800 on the SAT math; and nearly 3,700 were ranked first in their high school classes"
Just my observation but Harvard does the absolute best job of recruiting applicants (for tier 1 schools). I had plenty of unsolicited mail from Harvard including invitations to special events where they bombard you with clips of famous people who went to Harvard telling you that you should apply, they are holistic in their review of applications etc. Overall I thought their application was limited compared to Stanford, Rice and UVa. Just a hindsight perspective - anybody else see it this way? Oh yeah, and I fell for it and applied.
Good luck to you all waiting.
