From Waitlistee: to operadad

operadad: ur posts are very helpful and i was wondering if u could help me with this. Im planning to write a letter of interest with my new accomplishments included. I applied as a french and research major and i think im going to win substantial awards in both areas over the next month and a half. My question? TIMING. I get notified of the results from the National French Contest around April 20, and ive been a top 10 national winner the last three years so i hope to continue that. Also, im going to ISEF from May 10-16 and the awards ceremony is the 14th, so i learn what things ive won at that time. So here are the things i wanna send:

-letter of interest
-national french award winner (hopefully)
-any awards at Interational Science and Engineering Fair

I was hoping to do them in one unique essay showing that even though its my senior year, im still going strong with my passions. But now the timing is the tricky part. i dont wanna keep sending bits and pieces so how do i do this.

Thank you for the compliment, but I am not an admissions guru. However, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

First, nothing will be done with the waitlist until May 1, and they have their acceptances. So, you have a little time. Use that time to compose your letter, although I am not sure if an essay is required. Especially if you are just going to tell them that you are still passionate about whatever you told them about before.

Have the letter ready to go on April 20 when you find out about the National French Contest. You can follow that with another letter a month later after going to ISEF.

Good luck.

BTW: If you want to contact me, and not everyone else, it is better to send me a PM. I don't necessarily read all the posts.
