Harvard reception for admitted students

What happens there? Is it casual (should I wear jeans)?

    It is probably casual, but look nice. I think it also varies from place to place.

    Depends on where it is. The one where is at a bookstore, so I think it'd be pretty casual.

    Always overdress if you aren't sure though. I don't mean a tux or ball gown or anything, but, if you aren't sure, don't wear a t-shirt and jeans. Unless you've a nice set. I also hate jeans, so I might just be saying no jeans on account of personal biases.

    Ours is at a restaurant in Chicago. I think wearing jeans is fine -- I usually do.

    If there's one at the Harvard Club in NY, I wouldn't wear jeans there, but khakis and a polo or sweater would be fine for either gender.
