How laid-back is hmc?

I'm trying to choose between a few acceptances I've got, and Mudd's small, close-knit atmosphere has got me attracted. However, I'm a bit frightened about how hard it might be to get through.
I can definitely handle hard work, but I wouldn't like to be bogged down everyday studying or trying to get homework submitted. I'm not extremely bright or even done half as much of the things some of the other accepted students have done, but I would like to know if the average student gets time to do their own thing every once in a while.

I definitely have the free time to do a lot of the things I want, save for playing through that new video game whatever it may be. However, I will admit that I basically gave up care for sleep and embraced coffee as my savior.
