I haven't messed around with it yet, but I'm expecting a high score compared to others. And yea, I still need to do Drivers Ed...

The average score for a sophomore is as follows from the College Board website: "The average score for tenth graders was about 43 in Critical Reading, 44 in Mathematics, and 40 in Writing Skills." In other words, the average composite was a mere 127.
I want a 240...but I know it won't happen. Hey, aim high right?

I`m sure there will be people getting 50`s on them....
I suppose now would be a good time to start homework, right? I mean, it`s only 8:22.

@Alex I believe those averages considering the 2015 average last year (When we were freshmen) at my school was only like 100-110.

So do you guys only have to do spanish?
At my school we do:
6th grade- French and Spanish/German
7th- French, Spanish/German and latin
8th- Two of languages you did the year before
9th and 10th- One modern language and others to take up option choices. Italian can be taken
11th and 12th- Completely optional, not a very high take up because it gets really hard
Everyone has to study French in primary school, and a few schools do Spanish as well

I do French. You don't need a foreign language to graduate, but at my school, most everyone does one. We offer English, Spanish, French, and Latin.

At my school, we have standard and advanced diplomas, advanced for those wanting to attend college. For advanced diplomas, we have to have 3 years of the same foreign language, or 4 years of two different ones (2&2). We can start taking foreign lang. in 8th grade, Spanish, and in 9th, we have the option of Spanish or French, and in 10th, you can take Latin. Only 3 languages. I wonder if you being in the UK has anything to do with that requirement. Probably.

I may be wrong, but I've got the impression that it's pretty normal for a lot of people in the US to never, or hardly ever, go further abroad than Canada. Whereas here, I don't know anyone that hasn't at least been to France.
Personally I hate French, but love Spanish and German. I have a spanish penpal and take classes, and I'm hoping to spend next summer and my gap year in Germany |

Yeah, there`s definitely people who do go out of the U.S, but most people just go to different states, and not out of country, so it`s understandable why we don`t learn as many languages. I`d love to take German if my school offered it, I`ve got like the most German last name ever |

WEll, U.S. is big. A state can be bigger than several countries in Europe. But you drive and drive and you see the same thing everywhere, whereas in Europe, you drive a couple hours you're in a different country, people speak a different language. it's so cool. I want to go to Europe.

Well, I took a practice PSAT today, and I don't think I did too bad. Higher than average.
CR: 66
Math: 59
Writing: 55
Total: 180
How does that score look?

Europe is great, I'm planning on Interrailling (eurrailling to non EU people) next summer or during my gap year. It's an easy, cheap way to see a lot.
It's actually a little disappointing how few countries I've been to in Europe. Only UK, France, Belgium and Spain I think.
My old family name (My grandparents changed it) was Von Clary und Aldringen, can't get more Czech/German than that!

Did you guys get a little Collegeboard packet? I took the test in that and wow, managed a 225 even though I've been getting 190's in the ones from outside resources. I hope the real PSAT is that easy.

^^I`ve always wanted to go to Europe, and will, someday. A couple of my friends are going there on a graduation trip...they`re raising the money all by themselves, though.
^Yeah, it`s like blue on one side, orange on the other. Started taking it today in English, and am going to finish tonight...don`t really know how well I`m going to do.
