We're reading to kill a mockingbird currently, and it's the only book we've done so far in 10th grade. last year, we did: 5 people you meet in heaven, flowers for algernon(novel), 12 angry men, life of pi, and romeo+juliet.

Life of pi is probably 3x as good as the movie; the book was really good.

I read flowers for algernon I think because my grandpa was telling me how his college professor was writing it when he attended Ohio state

Also.. Do you guys think its that important to do a sport (and get into a top school... Possibly Princeton)? I couldn't do any sports for the past few years because I had chest pain while vigorously exercising (anything involving jumping/bouncing; jogging).. The doctors said I'm fine so I picked up running (having trouble keeping up with it) ... But joining a sport is a ton of work... Especially since it'll probably be practice get home for a little bit babysitting for 3 hours, hw, bed, most everyday of the week.. I really want to (mostly because of college) but I'm already wiped at the end of the day..

Join a sport if you love it, and if you are good enough, you might get recruited. Otherwise, it is just like an other extra-curricular activity.

Oh my gosh, guys! I'm speaking at TEDxYouth@TheBeltline in a week from today! I'm feeling both nervous and excited.

UK (unofficial) rules of debating:
1. NEVER mention Hitler
2. Never mention god (except in a religious debate)
3. No foxing, squirrelling or badgering
4. No countering POI answers

(I'm in a really good mood because I just got back from a set of exams and interviews for a school to a letter from WESTMINSTER school saying I did well in the exams and am getting and interview!!!!!)

I honestly think the flu shot is somewhat of a hoax; I've never once gotten a flu shot (or the nose spray thing) and I have never in my life gotten the flu (neither had either of my siblings or my mom).. My mom never let us get it because she had a young teacher get the shot and die from the flu a few weeks later.. Just thought I'd put that our there..
