@Grammernazi-

Speaking of centuries-old satire, have you read Candide by Voltaire?
Really entertaining, and not too long.

Headmaster's holiday tomorrow Nice day off to catch up on my work. First marking period (six per year, weird I know) ends on Monday and my grades aren't quite where I'd like them to be so this will hopefully be very helpful.

*sigh*

Hey guys. I know you guys don't remember me, but I'm the homeschooled kid who's always needing help

First, I plan on taking the PSAT this October - either the 17th or the 20th. I'm studying with the 2013 Princeton Review PSAT review, but it seems like something is missing. What are some good supplemental materials?

Also, college. Yay. This is probably the stupidest question of all, but since this is my junior year, do I begin filling out college applications this year or in my senior year?

Do I take the SAT this year? Or senior year?

And, last but not least, all of my EC's comprise of making movies. Not just homemade films, but actually gathering a budget and actors, etc. Funny thing is, I do not want to go to film school (that's a whole different subject), so what would be a good major for an filmmaker who doesn't want to go to film school?

Thank you so much guys. You've been a huge help throughout the years. I've been so busy with everything I haven't visited CC in awhile. It's time to change that

Id suggest taking the SAT at least once if not twice your junior year. It gives you the possibility of not needing to take it at all senior year and thus not having to worry about it come applications.

13 days, and still counting down, till the PSAT...

Anyways ,

Algebra ll as a Junior. I'm worried that when I take the PSAT and SAT, that it will involve Pre-Calculus...do they?

Also for my senior year Should I do Trigonometry/Analytic Geometry, Pre-Calculus, or AP Stats with Pre-Calculus? Or should I take an Pre-Calc online and get Calculus Senior year? Do colleges offer Pre-Calc and if I do take Calculus would they count it as credit?

The SAT1/PSAT doesn't need Precalc (I think, maybe basic trig).

Be sure to take Calculus your senior year. I would take precalc over this summer.
