Not really school related but last week my team and I got accepted by NASA to their SLI program down in Huntsville, Alabama. Really happy right now.

First time I've relaxed and hung out with anyone since school started, ironically when I should be studying for the SATs tomorrow. Oh well. The pumpkin cookies and company were worth it.

How are you guys doing?

I actually have a relaxed weekend/upcoming week (first one since I started school). I only have one test this week (a couple quizzes/reading checks but I don't count those) and a college fair. So it is going to be a good week. Oh and we are reading The Glass Castle in English as an extra reading, it is really good!

We took a pop quiz in AP Chemistry on aqueous solutions/metathesis reactions, and I'm pretty sure I aced it. This is the first time I felt really confident on something lol.

I'm jealous of you AP science people. For honors students at my school you take honors bio, then chem, then physics, before we can even take AP science (meaning we can't take AP science until senior year).

@ArtsyGirl13 It's the same for my school. Before students can take an AP Science course, one must take one of the following 9th grade science courses: AB Physics or ICP (Intro to Chemistry and Physics). In 10th grade students can take both Biology and Chemistry (this is what I did) or they can wait to take Chemistry their junior year.

Update* I found out today that I got a 29/30 on my AP Chemistry quiz~ yay!~ It didn't raise my grade though but it's still great!

Haven't been here in a long time; busy with work. How is Junior Year going for all of you?

I'm in the IB and i seriously underestimated what it would be like. Right now, i have 2 B+s and the rest are low As, unweighted. Thus, I have seriously given up the desire to go to a top university. I'll try my hardest, but if this is what i have 2 months into school, imagine in may when i'll be taking 2 IB SL exams and my finals for all the other HL classes... And, to my surprise, I have become much less competitive. I have come to the realization that if a college doesn't want to accept me because i ended up with a B+ in Math HL (arguably the hardest IB course) and accepted another student who took Math Studies (they spent a month and a half doing mean, median and mode), then so be it.

Most people who used to get straight A's before in HS are in a similar position to mine. However, there are these two geniuses who have 98 unweighted GPA's and I seriously believe they will find the cure for cancer or something in the future.

hahaha physics ap both b and c are hard. lol... im in physics c and we're doing mechanics in one semester :O

it's not really that the material is hard perse, but rather because of the massive time crunch of the tests T_T

junior year so far is OK I guess... no weird teachers, no friend issues. Entered Siemens really last minute. Just took SAT I. The study load isn't that much, I'm quite surprised. But then again I probably have less extracurriculars than most people

How many times are you all taking the SAT? I asked my counselor about taking it in November to get a base line, then march and june. She was soo against that and was saying I should only take the SAT twice because most people do their best the first time. I highly doubt that will be the case with me as I am looking for at least 2200+ (shoot for the stars woo!) I still want to take it in November so I can see what Im working with. What about you guys?
