^ Same here man. I'm in calculus but I still tripped up on like an Algebra 1-level problem and wasted like 5 minutes on it. Ended up rushing 2 or 3 questions that I probably got wrong and skipping 2 more all together. CR was extremely easy for me too - maybe it's just me but I felt the vocabulary and passages were both a LOT easier than last year's. Writing was pretty straightforward too. I felt good about all the questions except the last couple which I rushed through.
Not to mention that I was sick and throwing up the night before, plus I was working off maybe 2 hours of sleep. I tried to get it rescheduled but the counselors said I couldn't? So I just manned up and took it.
I really hope I have a good enough score for NMS. Since both my parents are currently unemployed and I just recently moved, I really need whatever money I can get. =/

I have never been more perplexed about a dog and his walking habits.
Cryptic, I know. |

I reasoned that because six is an answer I reached roughly and since there are two initial doors, I multiplied by 2. Therefore I picked 12.
I almost chose 8 but since there was no 4, I decided against it.

Chose 8, was thinking about it later, it really is 12, but I don't think SAT math is practical, it just tests logical reasoning skills. Anyway, the test went WAY better than sophomore year, I only skipped 1 question in writing, sophomore year I skipped 5 in each of the math sections I blew my previous score out of the water, everybody says you don't need Algebra II to do good, but I think it helped a lot. what is the NMS cutoff in new york state?

^ NY's cutoff tends to be around 220-221.
Also, the dog one was definitely 12.

Yeah, it's 12. I was paranoid on that question u initially, but since I had extra time I actually drew out the possible pathways for the dog (crazy, I know), and confirmed 12 was to be the answer.

You have to use permutation. There are two options for the first door, three for the second door, two coming back through the seond doors, and one coming bac through the first doors. 2x3x2x1=12

The only reason why I got the dog question was correct was because I was quickly reviewing Grammatix the night before and it explained the use of permutation on a problem extremely similar to that one. Rather lucky, I'd say! haha

I could've used permutations, but I didn't. I just traced out the number of paths possible for one starting door, then multiplied that number by two. If it had been a larger number of doors, though, I probably would've used permutations.
