Right now I have an A in all my classes except AP U.S. History, in which I have an 88.29%. At the end of each quarter, our teacher allows us to drop one quiz or test, usually our lowest passing one. I'm pretty sure that this will only bring my grade up to a 89.09%. This is lower than 89.5%, which is the minimum that I need to get an A in that class.

Looks like I got my second B ever in quarter grades.(in high school) Now I have to get an A for the next quarter and the semester exam to get an A for the semester.

=/

Ugh sometimes I love being home schooled and then other times Im just like blah. My year starts in November and everyone thinks I am behind but I am not I just take vacations at different times so I end school later and start it later but everyone I try to explain this to thinks I am an idiot! I wish I could have started in Aug with everyone else but that was impossible because I work on a different schedule well at least I will be fine when it comes time to apply to college!

School has been very busy, I have piano rehearsal on Monday, and I haven't been practicing lately because of homework.

^ I wished my school offered Honors English 12. All we have are Merit English 12 (On grade level) and AP Lit for seniors. A lot of people choose Merit English 12 so they won't have to take AP Lit. I don't want to downgrade myself, so I'll take AP Lit.

I would take AP Psych - but only if you're certain you're going to major in Psych .... Otherwise, I would take the Science course and self-study AP Psych or take a class at a local college (if possible).

I have a problem planning out my 12th grade schedule (and the rest of my life, but I'm focused on the short term here to preserve my sanity). So I'm debating between medicine and psychology (part of the decision making process is going to include seeing if I can get over my fear of blood) and thus I'm not sure whether to put AP Psychology or a science in my schedule. In college, I'm considering fulfilling premed prerequisites but majoring in psychology and figuring the whole thing out later, but for now, I'm torn. While obviously colleges prefer four years of science, my school only requires three, and no science I would take next year would be AP (there's one dual enrollment but the credits cost a bajillion dollars). And my college advisor advises psych because otherwise I'll end up having to take it in college anyway.

tl/dr version: Accredited psychology or unaccredited science? (In theory I could possibly do both if I didn't mind ruining my senior year.)

^ Any lingering thoughts of med school were vanquished from my mind when my friend showed me a video of a kidney being cut open.

That said, I would take AP Psych.

I got a job at Steak N' Shake! Also, the PSAT was better than last year, but I still don't feel confident that I'm a NMSF. At my school, I believe they do the lower ranked people first to do their schedule, then do the people in the AP classes. I believe I'm 4th or 5th in the ranking out of 390 to 396 11th graders. One of two or three African-American males in the top 10.

I feel like the Saturday PSAT was way easier than last year. Still got stumped on a few mc math questions and one fill in math, but I had tons of extra time on CR and Writing!

I have a general idea of my schedule as well (my school is annoyingly inconsistent when offering upper level classes so nothing is final). The Current plan is
- AP English Literature
- AP Biology
- AP Calculas AB (sadly my school does not offer BC)
- Anatomy or AP Physics (I can't decide)
- AP Government or TAing for an honors chemistry class
- Yearbook
- Psychology at a local college (AP Psychology is a joke at my school)

On a side note, I found out today that there is a good chance I will have a paid internship this summer coaching golf, so I am in a great mood!

@MustaRiSC I am the opposite, I got to observe open-heart surgery and it made me one to go to medical school even more.

This year has been so crazy! First quarter just ended and I was literally bordering on 89-91% for like 4 classes.
