We're on 18, too, but today was the first day of Quarter 2.
I honestly don't know.
She said April is basically all review, but if we finish ch. 32 by the 2nd (?) week of January, and we continue to do 2 or 3 chapters a week afterward, we should be finished with the book by February. o_O
So, maybe (hopefully), she was overestimating. (I doubt it.)

I'm so happy. I got a 23/24 on a math quiz that most people failed because of basic algebra mistakes. I got a point off for writing 4pi/3 instead of 5pi/3 by mistake.

This is random but....I'm listening to the new song my Bruno Mars "Locked Out of Heaven" and...I can't stop. I think I've listened to it about 20 times today, while writing a history paper. It's so catchy!
Any songs that you guys are loving (or hating) right now?

I haven't heard it!
Right now I've had Three Days Grace's new album, Transit of Venus, on playback. I hated it when I first heard it, but I'm now discovering that it's more of an acquired taste.
A song I've had on playback for the past few days is "A Story To Tell Your Friends" by Every Avenue; I'm absolutely in love with it, but according to one of my Twitter followers, they're starting a break-up tour in December :l.

Did my Governor's Honor Program (GHP) county interview yesterday. It went well. For Social Studies, you debate and have a personal interview to do. If I make it past county, then I go to state for Social Studies where we debate more and if I past state, I go to Valdosta State University for three weeks to work in Social Studies and study other things. This is one of the highest and most recognized competition in the state of Georgia.

^ That's cool. I'm really bad at debating... In government freshman year, we had to debate for a grade....

So, I saw Wreck-It Ralph yesterday, and it was amazing (surprisingly more amazing than the mac & cheese I got from Panera's before seeing it). I was going to see Skyfall, but the show sold out the moment we stepped toward the ticket line.
The first half was better than the second half (the second half was too cutesy for my tastes, and Silverman's voice was really, really annoying), but it was still overall a great film. The first half also produced a lot more arcade/video game nostalgia than the second half did.

It looks like the only thing stopping me from getting a 4.0 will be an 89.9 (which my teacher won't bump), oh well hopefully I can get an A for the semester/we will see when I get my report card in like a week...
Have you guys started looking at summer programs yet?

Somewhat. I'll probably apply to Clark Scholars and another program that takes Internationals just for the heck of it. There are things locally that I also am looking at so I'm not going to stress about them.
+ They're good practice for college apps.

True, some of the applications seem as extensive as college applications. At this rate I am applying to like 12 programs/internships (probably not the greatest idea), at least I will get practice with admissions essays!

Definitely interested in Clark Scholars as well (but I'm not getting my hopes up). So far, I have a pretty good list of programs I'm aiming for this year.
