Jr. High Schoolers: YES or NO

okay, so i'm in 8th grade at the moment. like, what percent of all of you are okay with that? i once tried to start a thread for people like me, but it was soon taken over by ppl telling me to 'f***' off.

SO! i just wanted to see how many of you think Jr. Highschoolers are okay to be here. i'm not talking about the 'what are my chances' forum; i mean HERE.

PLEASE, don't get offensive, please?

I thinks it's ok. Lots of people say you'll go crazy over the stress and stuff, but If you're crazy enough to come here in 8th grade, then you probably won't get that much more stressed. Especially if you mostly hang out in the High School and Cafe forums.

Ya. You could walk up to all your friends, and by just knowing their stats, tell them what colleges they will be accepted/waitlisted/rejected from.

Of course it's okay for middle schoolers to be here! If I would have found this site when I was younger, I probably could have gotten some much-needed study tips. Plus, this will get you thinking early about admissions and the SATs, which is actually a good thing. Just make sure to not let some of the threads (like the "What are my chances?" ones) freak you out.

I think it is ok and whatnot, BUT

I do not like the "Assumed Chances" stuff...like "If I had a 2300+, 4.0 GPA, awesome ECs,...Can I get into X college" You're not in high school yet. Chill.

That isn't necessary. Although, if one were to ask for advice on specific things like how to study for something, or what ECs to pursue, or other meaningful how to's....it's alright with me.

I'm an 8th grader! I find a lot of good information here, so I don't see what's wrong with it.

Do goto:

High School
Cafe
etc

Don't go to:
-What are chances(This one is very important, its like a gladiator field.)
-SAT(unless you are about to take it, then go there a few months in advance, and read up on strategies)
-Individual Colleges(especially Ivies, they are also rough).
