| Why do I not "like" anyone?
Okay, im not one of those *forever alone* cases, but from a strictly scientific view my feelings have fascinated me. In middle school and freshman year I fell head over heels (blushing, buying gifts, etc.) for practically every girl I came accross. But I became anorexic sophomore year and ever since then a girl has just been a girl~ I can recognize the attractive ones, the funny ones, the smart ones, etc. but none have pulled at my heart strings or even really arroused a blatant interest. Is it more likely that these "crushes" went away with maturity or that my desire to loose weight has made me become so shallow,as to only see sex as a risk and love as nonexistant? And NO I was not having sex when I got those "crushes".

Maybe you aren't really interested in the same things as you were before...you did go through anorexia and despite what some people believe, not all girls go through something like that(bulimia, exercising all the time, etc.) just wait, you'll find someone, and you're in hs. You got time |

Don't worry about it. Like Kaeroze said, once something big changes in your life, you change. When my friend killed himself, almost immediately I fell head over heals for this girl. I had no interest before, but it helped me cope. It seems like your anorexia had the opposite effect on you. It's normal not to constantly like someone. It isn't weird you don't have a crush on anyone. You will someday (maybe tomorrow, maybe in a month, maybe in a year)

Same thing happened to me! Until Sophomore year, my heart always starts beating like crazy when I think about my crushes and I was totally obsessed with them. Now, there is still one guy who I like but he doesn't get me all pumped up like I used to get, he's more like just good friend I enjoy hanging out with.
Seems about right that hormones start cooling down freshman/sophomore year.

SAME HERE!
Like freshman and sophomore year I'm always like OHHH!! I LOVE HIM or OHHHH! HE'S SO PERFECT!!
Now I'm just making crap up so my friends will stop hooking me up with their friends. Like the guy I told people, well I like him. But I don't think anything will happen ever. He's like extremely witty and humorous, and I appreciate it. Also he looks like one of my favorite musician/singer of all time
SORRY FOR GOING OFF-TANGENT THERE.
Anyway, it's cool. One day you will find her and everything will click!

Yea dude you are just maturing. Look up MBTI test, and take it, find out your personality and do some research on it, it will put all your feelings and habits into perspective.

Maybe you're gay. I'm guessing you're a guy, since you said you got girls presents.
I don't mean that rudely either. But it's okay I feel the same. I like seeing other peoples relationships, but don't want one. Sometimes I like the idea of being in one, but don't want to be in one.

^^ *commented earlier* I think that sometimes as much as you'd think you're would enjoy a relationship with someone, the people appropriate for your age are not wht you're looking for in maybe maturity or what's expected. Your life isn't determined by dating in high school. I know that I wouldn't date someone my age most likely because I "act" like I'm 40 sometimes and most guys think with something else... So maybe you are gay, maybe you just are some place else then girls your age, maybe nobody actually interest you.

You're just fine. I was the same way. Do.t stress about relationships in high-school, they don't really last anyway. Its good that you weren't sexually active, you don't want a teen pregnancy on your hands. Don't be someone youre not, if you don't want to date anyone don't.

Lol dude, its really different for each person. I've been falling for a new person every couple of months recently, whereas some of my friends hold no emotional attachment to any female, PERIOD.
The teenage years really take you in for a ride, just enjoy it lol. Not liking anyone holds its own sense of happiness through peace, yet liking someone brings it through being around them. They each are different yet equally good in their own respects.

Personally I completely stopped having interest when I fell completely in love with celebrities. Now, I'm too busy fangirling to even care about the guys at my school or have any slight interest in having a relationship.
