I feel like whether it be 2 AM or PM it would disrupt school in some way LOL, which is it?

I found some more details about last year's competition:

"According to the foundation, an all-time record of 2,436 students entered the 2011-2012 competition and 1,541 projects were submitted."

And "Across the nation, 317 students were named semifinalists. This number was then narrowed down to 96 regional finalists comprised of students from 21 states."

ah so it seems like they choose fewer than 300 projects for semifinalists because of all the two and three person teams

According to Siemens Competition - Judging Process | College Board, they choose "up to 300 outstanding projects" as semifinalists.

Hi, would someone be willing to explain to me this whole process?

SIEMENS sounds like a pretty interesting competition to get involved in but I have no idea how to get started. I'm in my junior year right now. How did you all find mentors and research projects?

I submitted my project 8 days ago. I'll probably bring my laptop to school to check in between classes whether they sent the results, lol

also... it would be totally unfair if they only read the abstracts and the results sections... I wish I had spent more time writing my abstract :P

@hpyscm: ditto, I hope not.

@hluoluoluo: It's not really easy to tell you how to go about this.. xD I've been doing research since Freshman year.

@stownman: Woah, your school gets out an hour earlier than mine... lucky(:

I also did an individual project! xD
