I know it's possible to get an internship in a university lab for Biology or Chemistry.But I am more interested in English/History.Is it possible to get an internship under an English professor ?

Hmm, for English internships, I've mostly heard of people interning at a newspaper or a publishing company. You could try emailing english profs to see if there was some way you could follow them around, but I think with English, it's harder for them to let you 'intern', since there's no real work they could directly assign to you vs. a basic science research project.

Well worth a shot though!
