am i doing alright as a junior? and some other questions

hi. so I'm currently a junior in a private high school. i just want to know if im doing the upper classmen high school thing right to get in to college. I've maintained my 4.0 and got a 4.17 last year. uhmm I took only one honors class during sophomore year and now i have 3 honors classes. my school makes us take the classes on the a-g requirements. i have not taken any AP classes my high school life. i'm currently in spanish 3 honors, precal honors, peace and justice, ush, english 3, and honors bio. I currently have all A's except one B+ in ush so i think i have a 3.8 now.
For extracurricular activities, I'm in newspaper, steel pan, book club, game club, art club, spanish club, kiwins, csf, science honor society and math honor society. I'm the secretary of book club and a photographer in newspaper. I volunteer at my old school for service hours.
Am i doing alright? Do i need to do anything else to improve my chances to get in to a good college? Should i be applying to colleges now? Do i look up some scholarships now? Should i take SAT prep classes? I scored badly on the PLAN and EXPLORE test. Should i do more activities? Should i join a sport? Should i take AP classes next year? Sorry for all these questions, its just I'm first generation going to college here in America.

I would definitely start preparing for the SAT/ACT and possibly look into self studying for a couple of AP's.

As long as you are using all of the resources available to you - then yes, you're doing alright!

You are doing great currently. I would suggest preparing for the act and sat now, by getting books, taking practice tests, and possibly taking a prep class. Try to take the test in Jan or feb. That should give you time to prepare. You have plenty of clubs. I would try going for another leadership position in one of your clubs. You do not start applying to colleges until your senior year. Instead look up colleges to find out which schools would be a good pick for you. The Princeton review has a book which lists 300 or so colleges with descriptions. It's a good starter.

Thank you! Ok i'll try to stop by the bookstore and grab some sat/act books. I think I'll try to run for editor for the newspaper for next year for sure. Thanks so much, this is helping a lot. I'll start searching for colleges today. For the SAT/ACT do i have to take both or is it just one of them i have to take? Is one of them easier than the other?
