cavalier.

I hate the word because once I was crying to a teacher about how a bunch of people were totally disregarding my feelings (it was less whiny than that, I promise), and we both came to the word "cavalier" as an accurate description of how they were acting. I had her next period (world history) and she was describing how X historical figure (and it was probably a dictator, because she liked lecturing about them) was doing something and she said they were acting "...cavalier!" and very obviously gestured towards me, so everyone looked at me like "uh why did she just do that."

it was mortifying.

moist is also a tragic word.

Like (even though I use it more than I would like to)
Hubby
And so forth (one of my teachers uses this CONSTANTLY. I cringe every time)
Let's be real (people always say this and it just bugs me)

The n-word used casually.
Like
YOLO. It has lost it's original meaning of living life to its fullest and now is just an excuse for dumb people to do even dumber things.

^I can see that.

Oh, and I'd like to add "sumptuous."

Irregardless. It's a double negative, which means "without without regard." You can't say that's not at least marginally ridiculous. I had an ongoing argument with people in class about the legitimacy of this word today, and so many people were convinced that it was proper. It's in some dictionaries, but, you know, so is YOLO now apparently, so that doesn't prove much...
