Can I get into a Great University?

I am currently a sophomore, and is looking at UF, UM, you know, the good universities particularly for medicine. These are my stats :

FRESHMAN YEAR- B's and C's, I did extremely horrible, volunteered at a local library and hospital. No clubs, sports. Honors/Regular Classes NO AP.

SOPHOMORE YEAR- taking 3 AP Classes (psychology, environmental, world)- And all Honors. I have 1 low low low level class given to horrible readers, for failing this test. I am in 2 clubs- debate, environ. club.

projections:

JUNIOR YEAR- 3/4 AP's, good grades, couple of clubs.

SENIOR YEAR- 4/5 AP's, good grades, couple of clubs.

Can I get into a good university, (UF, UM, FSU, USF) with the above stats? I know SAT also factors in, I plan to get a good score on that too..

Thanks.

You're applying to Florida schools only. You messed up freshman year. I don't know much about Florida schools (Even though I live here, you couldn't pay me to stay in this state.). I know there are some OOS schools that don't even look at freshman year. Freshman year isn't such a huge deal. Niquii knows all about Florida schools. She could probably tell you how much weight freshman year carries for Florida schools. Generally, a few Cs freshman year won't hurt you too much.

*blushes* Rachel, you're too sweet!

The school that you're looking at are good. They're the top three in the state (UF UM FSU). For admission to those schools I would suggest mostly As and a few Bs. You have Bs and Cs for freshman year. It doesn't give you a great start. You need to be getting a majority As to balance it out.
If you get the grades, have a good rank (10%), good scores 1800+, and write a good essay I'd say you're set.
Of the schools that you're interested in I applied to three of them. (UF UM USF). I got accepted into USF in less than a week (applie late October early November). Good luck!

You might want to check some of the forums to see what stats were accepted/rejected

PS - USF has a chart of decisions based on GPA, rank, ACT/SAT on their website.
