National Society of High School Scholars

Hey,

I know all the stuff about Who's Who Among American High School Students and the National Honor Roll, but I got something in the mail about the National Society of High School Scholars. Does this fall along the same lines or does it actually have some weight in admissions? Here's the website: http://www.nshss.org/. Thanks for the info!

Did you get any benefits (besides the fact that you are a member)? Just wondering.

Not really. I used their forum for awhile, but people rarely talk on there. I also bought their t-shirt, but it doesnt fit me anymore. I don't think I have gotten any benefits. It was a waste of $45.

Not to burst your bubble, lil_killer, but you are right. Those things are pretty much scams.

Please, though, the National Society of High School Scholars employees need to pay their bills. Might as well pay them.

There are scholarship opportunities, correct?

Some of these organizations are probably useless for college admissions but I think you should stop a bit to consider the possibility of being awared money.

It will hurt you to put that on your resume for college. They'll see how easily you fall for bull$hit scams because of your own inflated ego.
