Scholastic is very disorganized.
When I called the woman I talked to said all notifications have been sent out. I asked her when and she sort of stumbled and said that notications were sent out on different days depending on the category. Then she said that maybe all notifications hadn't been mailed yet, but they would all to be to their destinations by the end of this week.
So I suppose the reliability of that conversation remains to be seen. But I decided to take her word for it since I would love to believe that we'll hear this week

eeek!

man, I wish I would've found this site weeks ago
I've been stressing over this FOREEEVER

My school was notified of our results [just on regional level] at the very beginning of the year.
I actually recieved 3 gold keys, and 2 silver keys. all for my photography.
I was really doubting I would get anything, but of course my hopes got really high as the days came closer to announcements.

I have done nothing the past few days but google search
"2007 national scholastic results" and many other combinations, which made me find this site.

Today my mother called the nationals place, and some woman told us they wouldn't send out TX results till the end of the week, because it's a region at large. Then my mother called plainview, tx [our regional thing] and they said only one person had one from our region, some girl in mixed media.

hmpfff, I suppose I didn't win anything.
My region apparently is pretty upset, because this is the second year only one person has won something from the region on national level.

ayyy, oh well.

Good luck to the rest of you.

nerdynotdirty, thanks for the TX information! I'm not really expecting anything, though. Pooh.

I just went through this entire thread and almost puked. Honestly, they should also notify people that don't get anything just so that we can be put out of our misery...otherwise, we still have a little hope.

every time I check this thread and there's a new post I think it's going to be someone saying, "I just found out I won!"
but it never is.
this is getting a little unhealthy

Same here, Vegangirl! I'm always half-hoping that someone won, so that I can finally move on... but I'm also dreading that day.

Of course, I just contributed to the whole "New-Post-But-No-Results" problem that stresses me out so much... oh well =)

Well then, I'll just jump on the bandwagon and contribute as well.

A whole lotta nothing.

Somebody just win already!

I'm so entirely confused!!!!!

So, I won 2 gold keys at the regional level for NYC, and just today got an e-mail asking me to fill out that annoying survey for regional winners. Did anyone else get this e-mail? Does this mean I didn't win at the national level? Has ANYONE heard ANYTHING??

Heh. Hmm...I'm only a little neurotic about this....

Oh no this IS like waiting for TASP things to come! Except...I didn't find CC until after I got my "yes" letter/email. -_-"

Here we go: (last sentence)

On the regional level, award recipients are recognized with lapel pins and certificates. In areas where there is an affiliate program, award recipients are celebrated through local award ceremonies, exhibitions and readings. Regional recognition includes Gold and Silver Key Awards, and in some regions, Honorable Mention Awards. Affiliates also select American Visions & Voices Award Nominees as ?Best of Show? for their region. Some affiliates award local scholarships and cash awards. Gold Key Awards become national qualifiers.

Now, I assume this is the same for RAL. Except, I hope they will select more people out of the RAL pool simply because there are more people entering... Well, I guess I have to wait and see.

*Apologies upfront, I don't have any results* :/

Argh...I haven't been on this thread for awhile because it made me too nervous...I figured that at least one of us would win. But someone earlier asked if art RAL had already been notified, and they have. That's art, not writing. Some people from a school near me won. They're getting their tickets to Carnegie Hall for the awards ceremony.

This is incredibly saddening. Sometime this week--good luck to everyone!

again, apologies...no results here

emyla: so....people at a school near you won for art, right? not writing?

i won for writing at the regional level, so that's what i'm wondering about. has anyone heard anything about that?

If we assume that all of these posts were correct (we'll be notified by April 3 or 4, we'll know by the end of this week, etc.), none of us won anything =(
