i'm impressed by the persistence of this group. my daughter is waiting - RAL in painting. i would love to know who to pester via email or phone (and their number).
Painter2--I know some people who have already recieved notification for RAL in drawing OR painting [I'm not 100% sure], but if you call I'm sure they would be able to tell you if they've notified everyone.
I hate how scholastic always pushes back notification dates!
This is absurd. I wonder why there's no online notification? That seems like such a 'duh' to me, especially with their fancy system of online sign-up they cooked up this year.
well what i've noticed that i haven't seen anyone win gold for art or photography in here. So maybe they are saving the gold winners for later? Glimmer of hope maybe?
epitaph- are you talking about RAL or regional competitions or nationals?
Because there is only one winner for gold photography for nationals.
I won a gold photography portfolio regionally and was therefore put into nationals.
WoW the Scholastics system is really confusing if people still haven't found out about regional competitions when some other people are waiting for national notification. I know where i live...our whole state found out about two months ago about regionals.

Portfolio Gold Awards—Twelve cash grants of $10,000 presented in the names of leadership sponsors of the Alliance to graduating seniors—five artists, two photographers and five writers—for exemplary portfolios.
I'm talking about national competition.
I have a gold key portfolio was well, hence it also went to nationals.
Ant there are two gold portfolios for photography, and so far, i haven't heard of someone who has won gold for it, even if, theres still one more spot in there.
