Last semester of Senior Year

I dont know whats happening to me. I'm so incredibly unmotivated, I ended first semester with a 96 Average and my lowest class being a 93. Soooo I know that I can drop down A LOT of points and still pull off a good GPA for my final transcript

Right now it's 12:05 AM and I have a massive test to study for, and I dont even think I'm going to study.

I've gotten so lazy this semester so far and it's really, really scaring me. I dont know what to do!

Any advice out there? anyone? anyone still motivated? anyone not motivated? is there really any reason for me to keep doing work?

Find something you're intersted in outside of school. I've been working on a couple political campaigns and I've been able to blame my senoritis on that.

I am unmotivated. Don't think you're not alone. I had great grades 1st semester, too, and I'm already EA in my top choice...so I don't really know what much there is left.....

Poetry? Taxonomy? ..PSHHHHHHHHH. I'm trying to analyze a poem by Alex Pope..but the internet distracts me too much.

The only things I'm motivated to do are my math and physics homework because I derive pleasure out of doing it. I just don't want to sit here ANALyzing anymore for English and spending so much time for Biology.

Yep, senioritis has hit me... I was accepted ED to my first choice school, too, so yes I feel like I am just passing time. I don't mind the subjects I am interested (like fortune) in, but the ones that I really could care less for, well it's hard to be motivated with them. But worse, I am bored with the whole scene, the people and everything. Granted, I come from a town of 500 and really small school. So, it's pretty easy to become bored out here.

Well, that's my ramble. Yes, I am so lazy lately!

I've already been smitten with senioritis, but I still have an A in every class (except AP Gov't, grrrr...) I've been so incredibly lazy, I just doodle and half-listen in class and do my homework during lunch or option.

Motivations for doing well after you've been accepted to the school of your dreams:
    1. You'd lose the respect of your teachers if you begin to slack off
    2. You like the rush you feel looking at a report card with straight A's
    3. You're parents nag you to do well
    4. You want to stay on the honor roll
    5. You're a Type-A personality who ALWAYS has to excel at everything under the sun
    6. You fear you might get your admission revoked
    7. You're competing for Valedictorian or Salutatorian
    8. You might want to transfer to another college after your first year.

    know of any others?

I have you all beat, I failed my 2nd quarter of math. And I have never failed anything, not even a test! It doesn't mean a whole lot considering colleges will never see it, and my semester grades were all fine. I am absolutely terrible at math, and I was very unmotivated my first semester. Failing at my school is anything below a 75.

I don't think all colleges/universities are like this, but a lot of them now require that you send your final transcript once you graduate and they can choose to deny your enrollment.

Luckily, by the time you're a second-term senior in my school, all the classes you take are the ones you requested.

It's not hard for me to get motivated for Advanced Acting and Ballroom Dancing, I LOVE those classes.

As for the rest, I want my average to be above xx when I graduate and I want to go out in style, without ANY worries about being rescinded.

Slacking and you have a 96? Either you are bragging or your class has some SERIOUS grade inflation going on.

I'm honestly shocked senioritis hit me. It's hit me so bad, the idea of going to a city college or state u appeals to me more and more each day. It's crazy.

I didn't start my weekend homework until 1:30 AM last night. Whoa.

I thought for sure I would've been one of the most motivated students of my class this semester, since my goal was to raise my cumulative GPA. But now I realize it wouldn't improve at all, really. One semester can't bring a 3.6 uw to a 3.75 or anything, so I don't see the point. ....But so far this semester I have a 2.25 uw. :(

Lol, guys I started senior year with senioritis~ I finished junior year with a 3.9 unweighted gpa, and this year i'm barely hitting 3.4 (weighted), got my first C ever in Calc AB!! Lol. But, i just got my first college acceptance letter: University of Washington!!! I'm stoked though... I wasn't sure I'd get in anywhere! So yeah, I'm slacking but I already have no shot at those valedictorian and salutatorian things, so I don't care! I blew dean's list award too. Ha ha. I'm definitely gonna slack more now...

talk about senioritis, I should be on my way to 6th period right now. it's true I wasn't feeling well this morning, but I could've sucked it up, and I would've last year, even last semester. I just don't know what is going to force me out of bed after spring break when the weather is good and the acceptance letters are in.

I don't have it, except for the fact that suddenly I don't seem to care about all those trivial things anymore like senior superlatives. its like, i'll be gone in a few months so who cares! our gpa/rank is frozen now, so i really don't have to worry that much.
