Being the only one in a crowd...

This is totally office topic even for this forums but this is the only place I know people my age.

I want to go to a meeting for a fan club thing (like your favorite book or show) at someone's house and most of them are like in their 20s, 30s. I feel like I'm the only one who's in their teens, I'm going with an adult (sort of) but I don't know if I'll fit in esp. because I'm meek and stuff.

Should I go and face my fears and be myself and avoid the whole thing? Have you ever had the experience before??

The thing is to be yourself and be confident. You are not going to have fun if you think already that they won't like you. Rather talk about the "thing" and just engage in conversation. If you get the "wow you are young" just nod and say yeah but still very into "thing"
