No. We live in CA and our son entered several photos in the RAL category but hasn't heard a thing...

I'm a writer from the RAL and my teacher was notified and told me today during class. Nothing has come to me personally yet. I won two Gold Keys, one in Humor and one in Journalism!!! I'm still excited. I entered five pieces knowing that all contests are something of a crapshoot regardless of how good you are.

The website specifically states that all winners would be notified by MAIL (and seems to imply that the mail would go directly to the students). Why are they emailing teachers?

Yes, I got my awards in the photography Region At Large category. (It wasn't a false alarm!) I don't know if my teacher got an email (but I don't think she did), and I did not get an email.

Just wondering, do you get notification if you got a silver key? Should it come with the gold keys, or do they notify those separately? It feels like the people on this thread only got notified of gold keys, and I submitted three pieces... only two got gold keys. I wanted to know if my other one has a chance at a silver key.

I don't know. We live in CA and our son hasn't ever entered before this year. He submitted 8 photos for the portfolio and then several other individual photos. I will tell him to ask his teacher at school tomorrow.

I find it hard to believe that only 2 people on this forum were notified from RAL. Usually it gets insane around now.
