Steroids are only bad if taken in excessive amounts. They're far better for the body than THC though.
| coming off steroids is probably the most dangerous part of using them. intense depression, mood swings, "roid rage," suicide, etc. |

| Obviously, but that's only if you take too much in one go start with....esmitty proved his idiocy with that last post, so that's that.
Although I have to admit anadrol cant match up to tempol in terms of usefulness. (lol @ all the people who think tempol is a steroid) |

| I got a text message from one of my "friends" (i'm hesitant to call her a friend after this) this morning saying that she got pulled over last night driving drunk.
THIS is when I judge. Not only did she have others in the car with her and it was past curfew, she could've killed someone.
If you wanna do that stuff to yourself, go ahead. But as soon as you put other people in danger, you're pretty much off my friends list. |

| I know what you mean HisGraceFillsMe, I don't like hearing about drunk driving escapades either.
Aside from that, however, I don't feel that people should really judge. I'm not talking hard-core drugs or alcoholism, but some drinking and smoking once in a while isn't really that bad in my view. I have some friends who get trashed every weekend and don't remember what they were doing... This just doesn't seem fun to me. But it's not like I won't have a beer or smoke some pot when I'm with my friends. Everything just needs to be in moderation. |

| I don't know, guys. Too many factors and for the most part, responses have been from people in high school. I don't know if anyone feels the same way, but I had a friend who judged a girl for smoking pot just because he felt he couldn't do the same. Being raised to believe all drugs were bad just because they were illegal (you think kids in Amsterdam care if you condemn their lifestyle?), thinking alcohol was stupid (do you think Germans are stupid for letting 16-year olds drink?)... he was a bit of an overachiever, really. Working, studying his arse off, he was a bit jealous that some kids were getting high and smoking and having the time of their lives. He wasn't the kind of guy who was able to let loose and just ended up condemning the drugs.
Personally, I don't care. I think it's lame to judge others based on something you haven't tried before. I mean really, how many of the people judging have actually tried smoking? And I don't mean "I took a puff of that cigarette and man it was bad!"
Either way, I've used drugs and do them occasionally. I drink and I smoke cigarettes. It's all in moderation though, and as long as people keep it that way I don't see why they're being judged for it. I tend to think of myself as a nice guy, laid-back, friendly... the people who were firmly against drugs and alcohol seemed scary and stuck-up.
You don't judge us for using. We don't judge you for judging. It seems like a fair deal.

| It depends. If they're do it in a way that doesn't affect me, I don't care. But if I have to suffer from secondhand smoke, or have idiots who waste their lives away in my classes and waste the teacher's time, then I judge them. I hate stupid people. :] |

| What if I honestly have no desire to try it though, Alex? I just don't see the appeal of getting wasted or high. Or even buzzed/drunk/whatever you want to call it. I can have just as good of a time without it.
I really do try not to judge, but as soon as you put me or other people in danger just so you can enjoy a momentary feeling, you bet your *** I'm going to judge you. |

| I was more referring to those who blatantly tell people off for trying it as though they knew everything about their actions and what they're doing to themselves. I would imagine users know very well what they're doing to themselves (it's the ones that don't that deserve to be called stupid), and I'm definitely not saying you should try it to appreciate or discourage it. I'm just saying most people who are against it don't really know why. You don't see the appeal, but that doesn't mean you're against it. You just don't want anything to do with it.
Mind you, I don't put others in danger, but people tend to exaggerate the dangers. No, getting high normally doesn't lead to you pulling out a gun and accidentally shooting your friend in the face. No, getting wasted isn't an excuse for beating the crap out of your girlfriend. The ones who do deserve to be behind bars, but most of us tend to keep it mellow and don't try to pressure others into it.
See, the way you're addressing me already shows a little what you think of me. You already think I'm capable of putting people in danger to enjoy a momentary feeling. I can assure you, I'm not the one you should scold or worry about.

you don't but there is a correlation between stupidity and Drugs...
I mean...how smart can you be if you're told not to do it a million times, know its bad for you... Then just cause a couple of your wannabe Bad*** friends think it's cool come and tell you to do it, after people just finished engraving in your head that drugs are bad.
I know bright people who do it, and I pity them...I envy their popularity and Socialism I will admit...but at the price that will lessen my chance to do my absolute best, I will not take that. I think its stupid what people stuff do just to make them feel good or to look cool.
I hear people do the stuff...People I would never imagine...but I've gotten so use to It I can size up people and who they hang out with and how the dress and act, and have a pretty accurate idea on whether they do drugs, smoke, or whatever...
some of you are making it quiet obvious you have tried some of the stuff... |

| There's one guiding principle for people who get into drugs: you just have to be strong enough to get out. This is what separates the addicts from recreational users. And that's the thing, really. Some drugs like weed really aren't too bad for you, like I said a lot of people exaggerate its dangers. Have you ever tried anything? Give them more credit than that, most of them know what they're doing.
There's a choice, academics or social life/vices. Personally I like finding a balance between the two, so not doing my absolute best doesn't really crush my spirit. Mind you, I'm still a pretty good student and I like to think of myself as a nice guy. Sometimes I just have a different way to relax, and as long as it's not harming anyone that's fine by me.

| I didn't mean to imply that at all. I definitely don't want to judge you, since I don't know you. I'm so sorry if I offended you.
Honestly, if you like to do it and you don't do anything to hurt anyone, go for it...it's your body & your life, and I can't stop you.
It's the idiots that do what you listed and stuff besides that which bother me. Does that make more sense? |

| Nah, don't be sorry. Reading back I can see how I reacted quickly, don't worry at all.

| just because you're "told" something doesn't make it a gospel truth.
"facts" about drugs and what they do, or don't do, change through the years. look at any of the original reasons why many drugs are illegal today and see if you agree with them... |

| "how can you say you'll have just as good of a time without something if you've never tried it?"
By that reasoning, how can I say I'll just have as good a time without becoming a serial killer if I've never tried it? Great logic. |
