| funny things to say to cheer a friend up (=
hey guys, i hope this helps me and everyone else who's really trying to get a friend who's down laugh. well one of my close friends, well we used to be close, not so much anymore, but she was pretty down in the dumps during lunch today, and she's the type that's always happy and fun loving. i dont know the reason why, but i was really concerned.
i have depression and when it got to it's peak this summer she used to call me everyday and make me pretty much the happiest person on earth.
i hope the title explains everything. please put anything funny i could say to her.

Bad pickup lines always tend to crack a smile....
"Hey, you must know karate, because your body is KICKING."
"Baby, I wish you were my home work so I could slap you down on my desk and do you all night."
"I'm a fermata, hold me."
There's a link somewhere on CC for nerdy pick up lines. |

if your friend's having problems, reciting a pick-up line to her might make it seem like you're discounting her problems and don't really care. you should figure out what's wrong first, then try to help her, with the plan of attack depending on the concrete problem. be supportive and let her talk to you about it.

You're right, fizix, but sometimes a good (or rather, bad) pick up line is all you need in order to get the other person to crack a smile and have them open up to you.

i had a friend awhile ago who was always depressed and i used to tell her the sky was blue to cheer her, up. it worked every time. so in short i think geeky little things tend to cheer people up.

yeah, problem is ... we kind of had drama last year, but we still know we care about each other and all .. the issue was just jealousy. i was being an idiot one day and i was like, "oh i only tell my close friends that kind of stuff," and since then .. yeah. and plus, everyone like leaves me out.
