| DagnyT- Yeah, the boarding price is what's really too expensive. This is pretty much my last year to go though, so who knows. Maybe they'll send me. |

| Summer after Junior year -
Hopefully German 1-3 and 2-3 online GE courses at the community college. My parents want to visit the east coast during the time period of the German 3 class, though. I don't want to go, but I figure it shouldn't be that hard to convince them not to force me to go, sighs. Oh, and I might to go DC for a three day youth summit if I get in...I haven't even applied yet though. xD
I'll also be getting organized for college apps and finalizing the list (6 apps, 9 schools at this point. Also get started on some of the essays. I'll be studying abroad for a year so I'm not sure which essays might get influenced by that, but I think I can at least get on the "Why ______?" essays. |

| summer before college
finally know what I'll be doing this summer...work full-time, for a month and a half. Then Washington D.C. for a month-long internship with my state senator, wahoo! Then 2 weeks of chillin' with friends and packing for college, and off to MSU |

| I'm not quite sure yet, but hopefully I will have the opportunity to spend most of my summer volunteering at a local hospital. I will definitely try to read a lot this summer and write more. Of course, I hope to hang out with most of my friends and just soaking up the sun. |

| Now that I've got somewhere exciting to go too, I wanted to bump this thread:
APTA Youth Summit (free four-day trip to Washington DC for an environmental pro-public-transportation conference. Eeee! They even pay your travel costs!)
All-summer internship at a university's Biological Field Station (and better paid than most summer jobs!)
An online Calculus course to catch up with my school's Advanced Math track.
Volunteering at a technology musuem.
This reminds me of the Community Joys and Concerns part of church. Who else has summer happiness to share with the CC community? |

| Oh, change in plans. Not doing a class at Columbia. Instead:
- Precalc either at my school or online
- Job at the mall with a friend for some cash
- Hopefully, going to one or two guitar summits at the National Guitar Workshop
- Prepping for some guitar competitions next year
- August doing an internship/research at Yale University
- Movies with friends to submit to film festivals, youtube, etc. |
