I was required to take Health Education in my freshmen year (I am a sophomore this year), however, due to budget cuts heath education was unavailable this year. Next year though, all of the freshmen this year have to take it.

Honestly, health education in my school is probably the same like it is elsewhere. We learned about drugs, sex (i.e. contraceptives, etc), making healthy choices for your body (i.e. exercising, balancing your diet). The ironic thing was that our teacher basically told us to wait until you're married to have sex. Near the end of the year, she actually got pregnant and wasn't married. XP

We had a pretty typical sex education unit in health class back when I took it. The only things I really remember standing out was watching the show called something like The Miracle of Life where they had heat-vision pictures of people getting aroused and how it randomly cut to a video of a woman giving birth. Like, nobody knew what it even was the first 5 seconds or so, then there was a general "AGHHHHHHHHH" from the class when we saw it was a woman's mitt with a giant baby head pushing through it.

That, and this ancient woman guest speaker we had that started rambling on about things and suddenly shouted, "REMEMBER KIDS; DON'T USE NATURE'S OFFRAMP THE WRONG WAY!"

Ours is pretty good. Our teacher preached abstinence and tried scaring us, but he still pushed the whole importance of a condom. The creepy man brought in condoms for us to put on our fingers, and he also passed around lube (with a warm sensation) to everyone.

Oh man, I'll always have bad thoughts about that warming stuff. I found out I was a bit allergic to it in a fairly bad manner.
