Just remember to try to do something SPECIAL that will set you APART. EVERYONE i know from my school this year got absolutely OWNED by the UC's this year.
The sat's are starting to not count for as much, but obvisouly you're going to have a better chance with 2000+. This year, MANY people were expecting to get into Davis and SB but MANY got rejected.

I mean, it sounds like you are definately on the right track, just be wary.

I am currently in UCI but i have some friends who went to UCLA.

The difference was just that i had 3.6 and he had about 3.9 gpa.
I also got 1950 on SAT and he got 2150. That is about it.

I would say you should try to become "captain" of badminton or different. like becoming a captain or making a club or something. I would stick to one event/sport/volunteer work because it shows dedication to your work and they like that.

good luck
