| do i still even have a chance? I had a 3.896/5 gpa which is a 75% freshman year...
But sophmore and junior i had gpa that were 4.8/5 and above.
Can i still apply to ivy leagues?
Or should i apply to normal schools?
Or should I find top-tier colleges that do not count freshman grades into GPA like princeton, johnshopkins, ucberkeley...? |

| Don't even bother applying unless you bring home the gold from beijing (and effectively trade in your lungs) |

| Or you apply to whatever school you want anyway.
Don't worry about one lousy year. You more than made up for it with your current grades.
If you're only considering "normal" schools with those grades, then you've been on CC too long. |

| To hell with ivy leagues.
It really doesn't make that big of a difference what school you go to for undergrad. Don't feel like you have to go to a brand name school. |

| You can apply anywhere just as long as you don't miss the deadline. |

| Pick what schools you want to go to and will feel a part of!!! If you feel like you will be more successful in a "normal" school, I'd go for that. However, with those grades, if you believe an ivy will be good for you, why not give it a shot?? |

| Well, there's no harm applying. If you expect to be rejected, you'll be pleasantly surprised when one of them takes you! And then you can celebrate. With cake. And NetHack. |

| No, they all dropped out of high school when they got a B and begged community colleges to accept them. |

| I got in with a 2.4 GPA, 1680 SAT, and an obsession with soccer. Impossible is nothing. |

| If you have to ask, you should apply. You don't have any chance of getting in unless you apply.
It may be an interesting case, but freshman year is often given little, if any, weight in admissions. It's better to aim high with safeties than to aim low and close possibilities. |

| piccolojunior is a big fat liar!
If you click his name and look at his REAL stats, you'll see that they are much higher than the ones that he posted. |
