Gym or Elective?

I have an empty period in my schedule. The only classes being offered during this period are gym and several electives. The only real academic classes (honors and AP) are classes I have already taken.

Should I choose one of these electives (probably the NYC Cultural class), or should I opt to take a gym class? I don't have much desire to take any of the electives. As you can probably tell, I have very little to choose from.

Oh, and I'm not fat either. I exercise regularly, so your reasoning shouldn't be "Take a gym, fatty".

Take an elective. You might actually learn something, however little information that actually is. In gym, you will learn absolutely nothing at all, and unless your friends are in it and you want to hang out with them, don't waste your time. You're lucky that you don't have to waste a full period every year on gym... at our school, it's required all four years.

Take the elective; be glad that your state doesn't mandate 4 years of gym like SOME. *coughNEWYORKcough*

I was lucky if my gym teacher showed up 3 times a week.

Take the elective. It's worth more to learn something.

My school (in New York) also requires 4 years of gym, but this year my gym teacher is absent a lot. In December he was absent the whole month, and now he's been gone for four weeks...well, he's been in school, but not during my gym period.

If you already exercise regularly, take an elective. Find something similar to what you're interested in and/or you think you'll do brilliantly in.
