I skipped 6th hour with a few friends today to watch tennis sectionals. It was a good time.

Not at all, until recently. I skipped first this morning for a protest in the hallway. Not that we ever do anything in that class anyway.

Wait, by skip you mean unexcused abscence right?

For my ECs (DECA, Swimming, Orchestra), I usually miss 9 classes a semester, which is the limit as to how many you can miss.

Other than that, I have never "skipped" (unexcused)...

I skip about one day a week, especially now that there is no incentive for me to go to school.

I only skip every once in awhile... I've probably done it only 4 or 5 times this year.... granted, that's not including the days I just stayed home because I didn't feel like going at all :O

lol i used to rarely skip class but in the past few weeks i've been skipping like crazy for example this week I only went to school on tuesday and wednesday cause i had late ap tests.
But on monday i stayed home cause i convinced my mom i was tired then on thursday i went to LA to watch Narnia at the el capitan theatre with some friends and today i went to santa monica beach just to hang out since we didnt feel like going to school. My mom doesnt know about my absences cause i just get my brother to clear them for me since he is listed as my guardian and he doesn't care cause he did all this stuff when he was a senior.

So i basically have a 5 day weekend since theres no school on memorial day.

The end of you senior year just makes you really really lazy and indifferent to school.

I've never skipped, excluding field trips and other excused absences. You can't at my school without it seriously damaging your grade (plus, you lose credit for a course if you skip more than a few times). They also send like a million emails/calls to your parents so I would be dead if I did skip...

I've never actually skipped school or a class while at school. I can usually get out of most classes to go somewhere else with permission easily, so it doesn't make sense to skip. Just a simple "Hey can I go to ... to work on ...". It only works when there's nothing really important going on. That easy.

But I have not gone to school when I wasn't really sick or anything. From the time APs ended to the last day of school, school is absolutely pointless. I didn't go to school on Monday because I didn't feel like it, and I didn't miss out on anything at all. Oh yeah, and my school doesn't even verify when people call in to excuse their absences. I could call in and excuse myself if I wanted.

I use to never skip class. Until junior year. It's just the way I am - I need a rest from the overwhelming school atmosphere and just be by myself. It's kinda therapeutic. My school allows up to 10 excused/unexcused absences PER semester, so that's prettttty awesome. Sometimes my teachers forget to record my absence (when I skip 5th and 6th period), so it doesn't even go on my record, which is even MORE awesome.
