Career and Technical High School vs local high school?

Talk to me all you students/parents that are attending or a child is attending a career technical high school. The career technical high school my daughter may consider (she is in 8th grade now) has a medical nursing program. Would attending this high school limit her in many ways say if she changes her mind about her career? And isn't it limiting to EC activities? This school offers no sports whatsoever. We appreciate your advice....

A career/technical school can definitely limit her options to change careers later. The program at the technical school obviously could leave some gaps in her preparation for a four-year university if she were to attend one. A technical school will also severely limit ECs. In college admissions, ECs are often a very important aspect. If the school has no sports, it probably has no musical groups or academic clubs, either. What do students usually do once they graduate from the medical nursing program?

That is what I had thought....I had heard there were no sports or EC at all. And I felt at such a young age how could you possibly know if this is what you may want to do the rest of your life. A 4 year college seems much more well rounded. Thank you for your advice.
