Academically, junior year Sucked. Even so, it was better than a great academic soph year because of the experiences that came with the age. Senior year will be (and darn well should be) a breeze if you play your course load right. And if you are taking APs and you know you're going to a school who's going to count them then put in the little extra time and do well! There's more to it than just passing. The difference between a 3 and 4 could mean the difference in a semester worth of English credit or an entire year (aka never have to take English again!)

Good luck

well, keep in mind that it's only october and you still have a long way to go til the year ends. If you find yourself overwhelmed with ECs try focusing on school work more and catch up on your ECs during winter/spring break, or senior year. Also, you might have to break some habits from last year and realize that junior year is different from the rest. If I were you, I would approach a senior that ended up with good grades last year and ask him/her what he/she did to succeed.

Academically, it sucks right now. 3 Bs and 3 A's . Socially, it also sucks. I only get to see my friends once a week since they take full IB and I don't.

Getting owned by AP Chem?

HAHA Yeah I am. That class is freaking ridiculous. We're using the same book that UNC-Chapel Hill uses, and our teacher doesn't explain anything, so it's an entirely self taught course.

And all it is is a bunch of glorified math problems with chemical words in them. Can it get any more boring than that?

Standing at a 78% as of now. Big test on Orgo Equations on Wednesday, and that's when I'm gonna get my a$$ handed to me.

ahhhh...the nine weeks ends this friday and every one of my classes decided to give a test this week. I don't even know how my grade's going to end up. Our wonderful teacher decided to tell us our ridiculously hard spa. 9 weeks test is tomorrow and my only hope to bring up my chem grade up 4 points is a test we have wednesday, rumored to be the hardest test we'll have this year. YAY and I won't even have time to study tomorrow...much less watch the debate once I get home from working.
damn....and PSATs are next week
don't i just love life...I'm going to go and attempt to study more now

^ honestly, if money is ANY consideration, and you're in the range (2-5 points around last year's cutoff in either direction) you should definitely prepare for the PSATs. Just from being a semi-finalist, I've gotten at least 3 full-ride offers, and many scholarships note that you need to be one to receive it...

AP US is a beast of a class at my school. I don't know a single person who got an A last year.

im aiming for 4 As and 2 Bs this year... but what's funny is that i always do worst in my easiest classes. Last year I got As in my honors and like B+s in my REALLY easy classes. I don't know what it is, but now my lowest grade is in what is probably my easiest class (Astronomy). It's really killing me lol

Junior Year's actually been pretty good for me, I've been having a lot of fun, and my grades have been pretty good. Better than that of the slump I call Sophomore year.

AP Bio- A
AP Physics- No idea, the teacher's grading is arbitrary, no way to predict.
AP Lang. & Comp- A
US Regents- A (***, I should have an A+, it's a regular class.)
Spanish 4AP/Honors/Pre-AP/whatever- A
Precalc H.- B-B+ (I had a 102 on one test and then a 63 on the other. My teacher told me that it isn't a big deal at all, but I want my bloody A back.)
Orchestra- A+
Free Period every other day- A+ (I work my ass off for that one.)

I'm looking forward to this year. No joke.
