Junior year sucks.

[rant]

this sucks. I am taking full IB w/ AP physics and i am doing terrible! I have a C in spanish, a B in math, psychology, and history, and As in AP physics and English. This sucks! cuz i was aiming for Upenn!!! And if i dont pull em up soon, i am *****ed big time. It's tough, i have ECs, then i come home and work till 12.. and still get abysmal grades!

Junior year SUCKED for me.

I had the worst grades in history:
First semester:
1C
2B
3A

2nd semester:
1B
6A

I have never gotten a B in my life before, so Junior year just came craaaaaaashing~ (it was all because of my EC's, I think)

But! This year *works hard* will be a straight-A-year, I sweat! *humph*

Well, considering it's an intense courseload and this is only the first marking period, I think it's safe to say you have the rest of the year to bring those grades up as long as you make academics the priority. Try and review for each class for a few minutes a day, it makes studying so much easier when you remember most of what you need to know for a test.

Maybe you shoudl think about dropping minor ECs temporarily and use the time to focus on academics. You still have the summer to do a ton of volunteering/working/internships/etc.

I dunno. I got all the classes I wanted and while I realize some of them can be a pain (god damn Spanish, you're so boring), they're not so hard (except for you English >_<)

That's nice. Deal with the bs that 99% of the people have to go through.

Ah well, i'm a soph, and I have 2 C's and a B-. I'm not worried.

um i was totally worried that this year was going to be intense and all stressful, but i was sort of...disappointed?
I actually dont feel challenged...but classes are about to hit full swing and extracurriculars are gonna kick in full gear soon..so hopefully it wont be so boring for me

But like 95% of upperclassmen tell me that junior year is hard because of the adjustment. Like even if you are super genius and have already completed 7 APs before you started junior year, the year itself is still a huge adjustment. Just wiat a couple more weeks and I think you'll get the hang of it. You still have a while before semeste/quarter's end!

Good luck

wait until senior year, or rather, wait until 2nd semester junior year. THAT's fun.

Yeah, my junior year isn't going so well either. C in AP Chem. B in Spanish, possibly AP English and Pre-Calc. But it's still early so I wouldn't worry about it TOO much. Just continue working hard!
