I still don't understand how people can have an attention span long enough to sustain most of the boring reading to get to the more interesting facts...sigh.

American Pageant ftw. I love the very, lets say: peculiar, writing style.

Our main textbook is called "Give Me Liberty!"

We also have a supplementary book called "The Radical and the Republican"

Bailey's "American Pageant!" Quite a colorful read.

Plus our teacher recommended we all buy this book:

Amazon.com: United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination: John J. Newman: Books

We have the American Pageant, too. It may not be required for APUSH, but I believe it is by far the most popular textbook choice. The writing style often annoys me greatly.

Did anyone else have to get the workbook that goes with American Pageant? If you have a choice, DON'T. It's absolutely useless; it just repeats everything in the book, taking out all of the interesting things, and the practice tests are not realistic at all. Bleh.

The American Pageant!

I've rarely opened it, though.

D's school uses The Enduring Vision: A History of the American People. They use a different textbook for non-AP US History.
