Do I dare attempt this?

Should I take AP Art history online with FLVS, along with my 5 other AP classes and busy schedule?

has anyone taken this course online? if so, please tell me how easy or hard it was as well as how time consuming it is.

People like you crack me up. Are you just taking it online for the heck of it because you want another AP? If you don't have all A's is your current AP's why take up more of youre time?

If you're trying to strengthen yourself for an ivy or something- youre better off with a meaningful EC or a sport...

Everyone who have taken FLVS AP courses say they require alot of time, so I'd suggest you wait. I know my Pre-Calc class takes forever on FLVS and that's just an honors class. I would not suggest you take it. Also, I thought that you couldn't start it until May since it's already too close to May for you to finish before the exam?

is it worth it?

I don't know how hard Art History is (I'm taking it but it comes easily to me) but it does take a good bit of time. You have to know a million terms and recognize paintings, sculpture, architecture, etc. as soon as you see it. I think the only date you absolutely have to know is Kritios Boy (480 BCE!), so there's not much memorization in that way, but you have to know styles, periods, artists, titles, cultures, and all that jazz. I'm taking it in class with three other APs and a busy schedule and it's very manageable. I don't think it'd be reasonable to squeeze in all that info from now until May. It's 1000s of years of art.

Ok, well now that you gave some sort of a reason... I'd say its worth it. If you feel you can do it... and it means a lot to you. I say do it. number 4 to 2 can make a big difference

I still say no. I'm taking two honors classes through FLVS to go from #4 to val, and it's not worth it in my opinion. I started my three classes over summer and I am still in the first semester of all three. You may be able to handle it if you are good at time management, which I'm not, but I still wouldn't recommend it.

idk, i'm not so sure 4 to 2 is a big difference. if you're in a class of 5 people, it's a big difference. but if you're in a class of 500? <1% difference.
