Buying a T72 Soviet Era Tank

Hi guys,

I just ran across this article while browsing some car magazine websites.

you can get a refurbished T72 tank for 105000$.
You can also buy a jet fighter bomber- a MiG 21.

What are you thoughts and feelings on this? A tank for christmas in Europe would be sick.
Oh, here is my source:http://www.automobilemag.com/feature...ibur_army.html

You can get the tank into presumbly France if you bypass Germany through Poland or into the middle east or into some former soviet country. The tank is purchased in Czerch Republic.

For the price of a BMW high class sedan (not a sports car), you too can drive a tank ( FULLY Operational, Cannon NOT CEMENTED, you will never be able to purchase rounds supposedly).

Thoughts? Comments?? Is this something you would want to buy??

^Why did you even bother posting in this thread then? "Buying a Soviet Era Tank", not "Buying a Martha Stewart Blender".

hell yeah I would buy a tank. The awesomeness of driving a tank to school is beyond words. And I could run over my friend's crappy 1992 Accord that he thinks is good.

Might want to check about driving it. Presumably it would be illegal to drive on highways and other state roads due to the uhh... the damage the treads are going to do.

IT CANNOT BE BROUGHT TO THE STATES. It is politically incorrect and raises red flags with Pentagon, secret service, and the KGB.

IT mUST STAY IN EUROPE- although you can presumably drive around in Poland, Czech, and a few other Eastern Europe. The article claims you can get it to like France.

You can bring a tank into France? So you could take over France with a T72 tank that can't fire.

lol. I'd buy it if I had the money. Gas and maintenance are going to be a cost issue too though.

If you have the money to buy a tank, you probably won't have to worry about the costs of gas and maintenance

^^^^^ What are you talking about.
THE TANK IS ONLY 105,000$. Instead of getting a Ferrari, you can get 2 TANKS(refurbished) or 3 "as current condition".

I dont know the price on the MiG. Getting fuel would be a problem :X
